The government has confirmed that it intends to introduce a change to paternity leave rules that will see couples given the chance to divide maternity leave between them. Meanwhile, a consultation on the default retirement age has closed. One employers’ group acknowledged the need to review retirement regulations, but another warned that dropping the default age could pose a problem for small firms.
