Small firms invited to take part in huge survey. Pearson May News Update - Thursday 27 August
Small firms invited to take part in huge survey What has been described as the largest survey of the UKs SMEs has been launched. Entitled Business Pulse 2009, the survey will be used to frame the agenda for Small Business Week which starts on 19 October. The study is being carried out to discover the views of thousands of SMEs on such issues as the level of support and advice available to them, and the opportunities for and barriers to success that they encounter. Adam Marshall, director of policy at the British Chambers of Commerce, one of the organisations backing the survey, said: The Business Pulse will provide vital information on the issues facing small firms during a difficult economic climate. It will help us ensure that small businesses, from start ups right through to 250 person firms, have the support and guidance they need to boost employment and drive the UK recovery. Who better to set the agenda for the week than small businesses themselves? Despite the climate, weve seen resilience and innovation among smaller firms that will undoubtedly see them in a better position for the upturn when it comes. Firms can participate in the survey, for which the closing date is 28 September, by visiting http://www.sbw09.co.uk/businesspulse Business General
